About our cause
Welcome to the Friends of St John, Parson Drove.
We raise funds to look after and maintain this wonderful old building that dates back around 1000 years. It is one of the oldest churches in the fens with so much character and history. Taken out of use in the 1970s the church passed into the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, who look after the church along with another 360+ churches.
We organise a wide range of events throughout the year to raise funds. From markets to live music, from plant sales to afternoon teas, from murder mystery dinners to outdoor theatres and much, much more. We try to make as many of our events free for all to come along, and we are open to all. We try to keep the church open for visitors as much as we can and have carried out a lot of improvements and repair work to make it accessible for all.
Check out our website at www.churchendevents.org or email us at [email protected] for more information. You can even become a member for just £10 a year, every penny goes towards the church.
We need your help so we can continue to do what we do to look after this amazing old building!
Thank you for your support and good luck!
